TL;DR —
There are YouTubers I enjoy and heavily respect such as Jim Sterling, Angry Joe, Yong Yea and some others. My views on the industry generally come from myself. I appreciate the work they do and I enjoy watching their content, it's mostly from that perspective. But they don't really heavily influence how I view the industry. I've noticed that quite a few gaming communities tend to respect Youtube-based gaming people more than any writers. Perhaps it speaks to youTubmers being able to attract people with their personalities better than a writer can.
