This is a three-part essay on the U.S. Federal Reserve, Eurodollars, Treasuries, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It will be too much to go at it all at once, but breaking this up into sections might help explain things in an easier manner. The December 2022 Eurodollar contracts have 1.5 million contracts of open interest. Each contract is $1 million in size, which means for one contract we are talking trillions of dollars of interest. The FED has transitioned in the first half of 2022 from a stance that helps inflate asset prices to one that seems like it might cause wreckage.
