VAR uses a series of high-speed cameras located in strategic places around the field in order to broadcast the game to a team of referees located indoors. This team has direct contact with the on-field referee, communicating with him and helping him make the correct judgment. Technology is already showing great promise in the field, and we may start seeing their job be made significantly easier.
