TL;DR —
Schlage's Encode family of smartlocks are now available on WiFi for the first time. The company has a long history of making reasonably secure, reliable locks. The locks connect via Bluetooth via an app on your phone via Bluetooth. They’re on WiFi already — should be easy, right? Not so much. Googling around, I see just Amazon Key having support. The lock’s talking on TCP/8883 from Googled around, but this could quickly lead to a dead end for this research.
