Understanding Subscriptions on the HackerNoon App

To subscribe to a writer on HackerNoon:

1. Select a story that piques your interest.

2. Scroll to the story's end and tap on the writer’s details.

   1. This navigates to the writer’s profile.

3. Tap on the subscribe button at the screen's top left corner.

4. A checkmark will appear on the subscribe button to confirm your subscription.

   1. You'll also receive an email notification.

5. To unsubscribe from a writer, simply tap the subscribe button again.

Voilà!

To subscribe to a Tech category:

1. Scroll to the tech categories section on your home screen.
2. Tap the tech category that interests you.
3. In the subsequent screen, tap the subscribe button at the top left corner.
4. A checkmark will appear on the subscribe button to confirm your subscription.
5. To unsubscribe from a tech category, simply tap the subscribe button again.

To subscribe to HackerNoon’s trending stories:

1. Tap the zig-zag arrow button (2nd button from your left at the screen's bottom).
2. On the trending stories screen, tap the subscribe button at the top left corner.
3. A checkmark will appear on the subscribe button to confirm your subscription.
4. To unsubscribe from HackerNoon’s trending stories, simply tap the subscribe button again.

Expanding Newsletter Subscriptions on the HackerNoon App

Just as you can connect with your favorite contributors, other readers who appreciate your work can subscribe to your auto-generated newsletter.

Here are some strategies to expand your mailing list and engage with your readers:

• Publicize your newsletter on social media, within your articles, and in your author bio. Inform your readers about what to expect from your newsletter and why they should subscribe.

• Provide exclusive content to your subscribers as an incentive to sign up - if your HackerNoon content is unique, share it!
  

• Maintain consistent content and a regular schedule so your subscribers always have fresh stories to read.
