How Banned Items Were Sold on Amazon via 3rd Parties

Amazon.com bans nearly 2,000 items for sale in the United States. The Markup attempted to list banned products for sale from a personal account in New York. Amazon officials declined to comment on how the banned items evaded detection or how many had sold before the listings were deactivated. Amazon says sellers are responsible for following laws and Amazon policy, and the company has “proactive measures in place to prevent suspicious or prohibited products from being listed and we continuously monitor the products sold in our stores”
