How to Do Speech Recognition in Python

In my free time, I am attempting to build my own smart home devices with speech recognition. The first I wanted to try was the SpeechRecognition library. The installation took time and effort, but with research it was manageable. The issue was in the systems I was deciding to use, and I was unable to change the default device.
