In this interview, we sit down with Roghaye Mohammadi to discuss Nexio, a collection of framework-free, ready-to-use UI components built with pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Nexio helps beginner developers and freelancers accelerate their building process without relying on heavy frameworks or complex setups.

What does Nexio do? And why is now the time for it to exist?

Nexio provides framework-free, ready-to-use UI components built with pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It helps beginner developers and freelancers build faster without relying on heavy frameworks or complex setups. Now’s a good time for Nexio to exist because developers are increasingly seeking lightweight, vanilla solutions to avoid the bloat, overhead, and learning curves of complex modern external dependencies.

What is your traction to date? How many people does Nexio reach?

Nexio is in its early-stage validation phase with 30+ framework-free UI components developed. We are reaching frontend developers through YouTube demos and community sharing, and early feedback from free starter pack users confirms strong interest. The project continues to grow through consistent component releases.

Who does your Nexio serve? What’s exciting about your users and customers?

Nexio is built for frontend developers who want to build faster while maintaining full control over clean, framework-free code.

Primary audience:

– Beginner developers who need simple, understandable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript foundations

– Freelancers working under tight deadlines who need ready-to-use UI components

– Teams or projects that require lightweight, vanilla solutions without external dependencies

Early users have downloaded and tested the free starter pack, providing positive feedback on code quality and ease of integration

What technologies were used in the making of Nexio? And why did you choose ones most essential to your techstack?

Nexio was built by deliberately avoiding heavy frameworks, relying instead on a clean, robust foundation of HTML5, CSS3, and modern Vanilla JavaScript (ES6+). Version control and deployment are seamlessly handled via GitHub and GitHub Pages, while thorough testing for responsiveness and performance validation is conducted using Chrome DevTools.

What is traction to date for Nexio? Around the web, who’s been noticing?

Nexio is currently in its early launch phase, gaining initial traction through community sharing and YouTube demo videos of its framework-free components. Early users who have tested the free starter pack have offered positive feedback on the code quality and ease of use, showing promising validation for the project's lightweight approach.

Nexio scored a 43 proof of usefulness score (https://proofofusefulness.com/report/nexio)

What excites you about this Nexio's potential usefulness?

Nexio helps frontend developers and freelancers save significant time by providing ready-to-use, framework-free UI components. Many existing solutions are heavy and difficult to customize, and some developers cannot use frameworks in certain projects. Nexio addresses these challenges by offering clean, lightweight, and easily customizable components. Its potential usefulness lies in enabling faster project launches, reducing development overhead, and helping developers focus on what truly matters in their projects.
