So lots happened this week:
- Participated in a hackathon (& lost)
- Met many great new people
- Saw Kevin Spacey deliver a great speech.
- Set a high bar for the remainder of the year
- Returned home to a few nice surprises from my husband
- Did many hours of client work while in Vegas and back at home
- Ordered equipment for one of my personal projects
- Said equipment arrived the next day (Thanks Amazon!)
- Continued to do some investigations for another project
- Took care of some issues with one of our cars
- Unpacked my luggage the day I came home
- Followed up with new contacts
- Bought Josh’s birthday gift (his birthday is in June, so I’m way ahead of the game here).
Although many of these things might seem pretty trivial, I don’t usually accomplish so much during the week. I continue to pile things on my plate, not because I like to keep busy, but because it’s an act of balancing everything and seeing where I can fit things in given 5 minutes here or there. There are some opportunities that I have taken a pass on or said no to, and that’s alright.
There are a few ‘family & friends’ tasks that I need to do some catching up on and the following weeks will be good times to catch up on those.
It’s a challenging balancing act, but one I am looking forward to conquering.
