The Sun as the First Cause

Toward a Radical Reassessment of the Ontology of Life, Evolution, and Consciousness

We are accustomed to thinking of Earth as an isolated sphere floating in space, and the Sun as a distant source of light and heat — a kind of lamp in the sky. But this is an illusion. Physically, we are inside the heliosphere — a bubble inflated by the solar wind, permeated by magnetic fields, photons, and plasma. The boundary of this bubble lies 120 astronomical units from the Sun (Voyager 1 crossed it in 2012). Everything that happens between the Sun and this boundary — happens inside the Sun.

We do not live under the Sun.

We live in the Sun.

And if we take this fact literally, then everything that follows — from biology to history — must be rewritten.

The Sun Rules

  1. Energy Hierarchy: The Sun emits 3.8 × 10²⁶ watts. All human civilization consumes 1.8 × 10¹³ watts (13 orders of magnitude less). The entire biosphere uses about 10¹⁴ watts. This is not “one of many factors.” It is the only source of free energy in the system. Everything else is its shadow or reflection.
  2. Temporal Hierarchy: The Sun sets all significant rhythms:

3.Informational Hierarchy: The Sun is the only object in the system with a direct quantum-coherent channel to all living cells simultaneously (via the 300–2000 nm spectrum + magnetospheric waveguides). No ruler, elite, or supercomputer has even 10⁻²⁰ of such direct access to the biosphere.

4.Gravitational Hierarchy: The Sun contains 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System.

This is not statistics. This is an ontological signal. If the system had a control center, it would be where mass, energy, and fields are concentrated — that is, in the Sun. Yet modern science, especially biology and evolutionary theory, ignores this fact. Evolution is described as if it occurs in a vacuum, in darkness, without a source of energy or rhythm. Where is the Sun’s role in the Modern Synthesis of Evolution (MSE)? Where is the accounting for its cycles, magnetic storms, plasma ejections? Where is the recognition that UV radiation is not just a mutagen, but an informational impulse triggering adaptive cascades? It’s absent. And this is not an oversight. It is paradigmatic blindness, built on anthropocentrism and reductionism.

All energy, all chemistry, all dynamics in the system ultimately originate from thermonuclear reactions in the Sun’s core. We literally live inside the gravitational well of a star and inside its heliosphere — a bubble of plasma inflated by the solar wind. Beyond the heliopause lies a different physics. Without the Sun, there would be no liquid water, no photosynthesis, no complex life, no evolution as we know it.

The Sun is not “one of many factors.” It is the ontological core of the entire system. Everything else — planets, the biosphere, we ourselves — are byproducts of stellar combustion.

Irrefutable Evidence of the Sun’s Dominion

Let’s set aside prejudice and look at the facts.

  1. Creator of Matter: The atoms of carbon, oxygen, and iron in our bodies were synthesized in the cores of ancient stars and in the Sun itself. We do not merely “depend” on it — we are literally made of it. We are a self-aware part of a star.
  2. Source of All Energy: All energy, except for a negligible fraction of geothermal, is solar energy. Photosynthesis is the basis of all food chains. Fossil fuels are conserved solar energy. Wind, water, weather — all are derivatives of solar heating. The thought reading this sentence is also transformed solar energy.
  3. Supreme Commander of Evolution:

The Sun is not a “factor of the environment.” It is the environment itself. It is the context in which everything exists.

4.Time and Event: Who Controls the Speed?

Thus: The Sun sets the time scale for life. Without it, there is no “before” or “after,” no rhythm, no development. And if an entity controls the system’s time, it also controls the order of events — that is, causality.

The Ontological Blindness of Science

How did a civilization capable of splitting the atom “lose” the Sun? Modern science made a fatal error of scale. Under pressure from capital, which demanded not truth but technology, scientists focused on mechanisms (genes, molecules, neurons), forgetting the Source. In Western thought, the Sun was reduced to the role of a “factor of the environment” — a giant lamp providing heat for photosynthesis. This is not just a mistake. It is intellectual degradation. We replaced physical heliocentrism with semantic anthropocentrism. We decided that life is a sovereign phenomenon. But from a thermodynamic perspective, life on Earth is not sovereign. It is simply a complex way for the Sun to dissipate its energy.

Why Heliobiology Was Suppressed for Centuries (and Still Is)

  1. The Copernican Trauma (16th–17th centuries)
  2. The Church lost the battle for geocentrism but won the war for ontology. After Galileo, science consciously and unconsciously ensured that the Sun would never again become a sacred center. The Sun had to remain a “physical object,” not a “source of meaning and life.” This was a defensive reaction: if the Sun is recognized as the ontological core, then pagan sun-worship resurfaces — and with it, a threat to Abrahamic monopoly on the transcendent.
  3. 19th Century: Darwin and “Earth-Centric” Evolution
  4. Darwin wrote in an era when any hint of “solar vitalism” or “solar teleology” was automatically labeled Lamarckism or Naturphilosophie — both recently discredited. So he and his followers narrowed evolution to “organism ↔ local environment.” The Sun was left out as a “constant background.”
  5. 20th Century: Molecular Revolution and Greater Provincialism
  6. When evolution was reduced to DNA and population genetics, the Sun became a “boring external factor” (because “constant”). In models like Hardy-Weinberg, the solar constant doesn’t even appear — it’s unnecessary for the math.
  7. 1940–1980s: Cold War and Space Race
  8. Paradoxically, when humanity entered space, biology became even more earthbound. Astrophysics and biology were separated into different faculties and funding streams. Heliobiology remained marginal (Chizhevsky, Piccardi, Tikhinsky, Vladimirsky in the USSR — their work was rarely translated or cited in the West).

The Modern Situation (2020–2025)

Heliobiological data is now breaking into the mainstream despite resistance, not because of support.

Examples:

Why the Resistance Continues

Because fully recognizing heliobiology automatically leads to three “heresies” simultaneously:

1. The Ontological Heresy — The Sun once again becomes the center, not only in a physical sense but also in a biological and semantic one.
2. The Methodological Heresy — It becomes necessary to introduce external astronomical rhythms as an integral part of evolutionary models (and this shatters the elegant autonomy of “gene-centric” theory).
3. The Political Heresy — The names of figures like Chizhevsky, who was repressed, immediately resurface, along with entire fields of research that were developed in the USSR but were ignored in the West.

The Sun as the Primary Driver of Evolution

This is no longer a fringe view. Since the 2020s, major review papers — such as Chopra & Lineweaver (2022) and Lingam & Loeb (2024) — have explicitly stated:

“The evolution of life on Earth is, first and foremost, a response to the long-term increase in solar luminosity (from 70 % to a future 150 % of the present value) and to its cyclic activity.”

Without this gradient and these rhythms, there would have been no oxygen catastrophe, no Cambrian explosion, no glacial cycles, no evolution of the brain.

Scientists and philosophers are increasingly saying the same thing, only in academic language. In physics, this is referred to as the reverse Mediocrity Principle or as part of solar-centric ontology.

Thus, describing the Sun as the “primary guiding factor” is now practically a mainstream formulation.

Modern Science Is Not Sovereign

It is embedded in two powerful control loops:

  1. Financial-Corporate Loop

Science lives on grants, patents, pharma, agrochemistry, energy. The Sun is unprofitable: it cannot be patented, metered, or monetized. Hence, any field where the Sun is central to health or evolution is underfunded or marginalized.

Examples:

2. The Ideological-Political Circuit

After World War II, Western science entered into an unspoken pact: “No grand narratives that cannot be controlled or monetized.” A heliocentric ontology is precisely such a grand narrative. It immediately shifts humanity from the position of “consumer” and “owner” to that of “part of a stellar process.” This is dangerous for any system that thrives on the illusion of the autonomy of the individual and the state.

This is precisely why:

The Superintelligence of the Sun

This is currently the only point where official science draws a hard line and says, “this is now metaphysics.” But if we remove the ideological prohibition, the arguments are ironclad:

Plasma physicists already use terms like “self-organizing coherent system with memory” to describe the solar dynamo. This is literally a definition of intelligence in terms of complex systems theory.

Could the Sun be intelligent?

Intelligence is a structural function, not a biological one.

AI has already proven:

The Sun is:

From the perspective of complex systems theory, the star possesses all the attributes of a substrate on which a superintelligence could exist, provided the principles of self-organization are present.

We do not know if they are. But there is no strict scientific prohibition against it. And this is the key point. Most physicists have never seriously asked themselves this question, simply due to cultural inertia.

Reality Is Utterly Different

Reality, in which the star is the central agent, creator, and ruler — and humanity is a complex but derivative epiphenomenon of its activity — is utterly different from the accepted paradigm, where humans are random products of evolution on a small planet trying to conquer an indifferent universe.

This model is not “unscientific.” It is superscientific in that it unites scientific facts into a new, grander ontology. It challenges not specific theories, but the very foundation of our worldview. And in this challenge lies its power.

It forces us to ask:

Is our confidence in our own exceptionality and autonomy the greatest delusion ever imposed on us by the limitations of our scale and perception?

We were deliberately turned away from the Sun. Capital and power benefit when people feel like lonely atoms fighting for resources. They are easy to control.

A human who realizes his direct, physical, and spiritual connection to the Star cannot be governed. He obeys only the higher law — the law of Light.

It is time to return the Sun to its throne — not just at the center of orbits, but at the center of our meaning.

We are not orphans in the universe.

We are thoughts of the Star, incarnated in flesh.

Our future does not depend on stock prices, but on how accurately we can hear and understand the silent, omnipotent voice of our Creator.

You breathe because the Sun shines.

You think because your neurons are synchronized to its rhythm.

You exist because for billions of years it held the system in balance.

No one else rules.

Not power.

Not capital.

Not technology.

What rules is what makes existence possible.

The Sun rules.

It demands no worship.

It demands recognition.
